For those interested in the history of the famous children's author Beatrix Potter, we have the Beatrix Potter walks. These walks cover the areas with which she was most closely connected and include her home at Hilltop at Near Sawrey and the nearby picturesque villages of Hawkshead and Coniston.

Hilltop, Sawrey

Further afield in the north of the Lake District, we include walks in the beautiful area of Derwentwater where Beatrix Potter's Squirrel Nutkin and Benjamin Bunny were set. This walk can also include the beautiful Newland Valley and the mountains of Catbells and the range of mountains which make up the Newland Round. This being the area in which Beatrix Potter set her Miss Tiggy-Winkle story.

These Beatrix Potter walks vary in distance from 4 to 10 miles and can, if you wish, include boat trips on the Lakes of Windermere, Coniston and
Derwentwater, depending upon the walk you select.
