| All our low level walks are tailored
to suit your experience and ability. Our popular low level walks
take in many different areas of the Lake District; visit the elizabethan
coppermines set in the impressive fells above the village of Coniston.
Take a boat trip on the National Trust's beautifully restored
Victorian steam yacht, 'Gondola' on Coniston Water, the third largest
lake in the Lake District.

The boat stops off at various points around the lake and can include
a call at Brantwood, the home of 19th century social reformer John
Ruskin who lived there for nearly 30 years. Coniston Water
is where Donald Campbell tragically died in 1967 attempting to break
his own world water speed record and where Arthur Ransome, the children's
author who wrote Swallows and Amazons, set his stories in and around
the lake District.
Although the list of walking routes is almost endless, popular
low level outings include Rydal Water, the caves and Loughrigg Terrace,
as well as routes in and around the Langdale valleys.
